The number of female and minority faculty has increased at Iowa’s regent institutions this year, according to a state Board of Regents packet released Thursday.
The packet said the number of female faculty members at the University of Iowa, Iowa State, and the University of Northern Iowa in 2010-11 was 2,050, representing an increase of 1.2 percent from last year.
The number of minority faculty members during this period was 865, representing an increase of 8 percent over last year.
