Christie Vilsack, a former first lady of Iowa, announced she is considering running in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District on Wednesday.

According to her new exploratory committee website, "Christie Vilsack for Iowa — A new vision for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District," she plans to spend the next several weeks visiting with families in the district.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, represents the 5th District, but with redistricting, he will be in the 4th. He plans to run in the new district, according to his website.
