University of Iowa officials could have to wait for up to 90 additional days before they receive a ruling on their appeal of a decision from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to deny funding to build a new Museum of Art.
Doug True, the UI senior vice president for Finance, said the UI received a letter from FEMA on the 88th day of the appeal asking additional questions. The questions "reset the clock," said UI spokesman Tom Moore.
True said university officials believe the questions were answered in the original appeal and hopes the extension won’t take the full 90 days.
