Multiple people arrested for meth

Iowa City police carried out several methamphetamine-related arrests over the past week.

Two Iowa City men were charged with providing meth to a minor to sell at a local school.

Robert Lee Jr., 44, and James Streit Jr., 26, 2128 S. Riverside Drive Lot 66, were charged Nov. 17 with use of persons underage in the drug trade, distributing a controlled substance, deliver methamphetamine to a minor, and distribution to people under the age of 18.

Officers conducted an investigation after hearing a 15-year-old male was offering meth for sale at school. Lee and Streit reportedly gave the boy three bags of meth to sell in order to split the profits with him.

Todd Cook, 48, 1515 Prairie Du Chien Road Lot 7, was charged Nov. 24 with third or subsequent possession of a controlled substance.

According to police reports, officers found a plastic Tylenol container with a bag of methamphetamine in it. Cook reportedly admitted it was his.
