UI teacher to run for House

A University of Iowa adjunct lecturer will run for a seat in the U.S. House, he announced Monday.

Rob Gettemy, a Marion resident, teaches entrepreneurship in the UI Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center. He is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and he earned an M.B.A. from Drake University.

Gettemy intends to run in the Republican primary for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.

With his family, Gettemy runs www.1M4JC.com, a business he founded that sells numbered Christian T-shirts. He has launched two other successful companies.
