Authorities have accused a Cedar Rapids man of attempting to elude law enforcement on the highway.

Nicholas McGraw, 21, has been charged with eluding and OWI.

According to an arrest affidavit, McGraw was traveling 107 mph on Interstate 380; when officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, McGraw sped up in an attempt to evade them.

Officers found McGraw in his vehicle in a driveway, the affidavit said, where he admitted to consuming alcohol and operating his vehicle. He stated that he did not stop because he did not have a license, the affidavit said.

Eluding is a Class-D felony.
