University of Iowa student Brittany Lambert, 19, is listed in fair condition at the UI Hospitals and Clinics after being struck by a car last weekend, said hospital spokesman Tom Moore.

Lambert and friend Christopher Hunter were admitted Aug. 27 with "incapacitating injuries" after being struck by a car at the intersection of Governor and College Street.

Hunter was released from the hospital on Monday and is improving, said mother Dana Hunter.

Police records show the driver, Jamie Ellis, 28 of Iowa City was not intoxicated at the time of the accident and has not been charged. An investigation is still underway.
